One of the most flammable home remedies for bed bugs is rubbing alcohol. Open flames, such as a candle or incense, is a disaster waiting to happen with alcohol strewn all-around your home. Some have even tried to burn the bugs and that created a blaze that was uncontrolled and ruined their homes.
Most people look to exterminating professionals but in one case in 2011, a Cincinnati family, wish they hadn't. The exterminator was using heat treatment and caused the house to set fire to the carpet, causing the home to burn to ashes.
Many stories of this accident happening recently, so we put a list together of some of the worst.
