1. The Florida Housing Authority Says Residents Are to blame for Recurring Bed Bug Infestation:

The Housing Authority of Lakeland, Florida, east of Tampa, is blaming the residents for the continued outbreak of bed bugs. Benjamin Stevenson, Housing Authority spokesperson, says that hoarding, unsanitary habits, and dumpster diving add to the bed bug infestations. Senior citizens living in the Renaissance at Washington Ridge have dealt with these bloodsuckers since April 2018. The apartment complex is overwhelmed with this contamination every year. 

2. Residents in Texas Apartments Are Incensed With Overwhelming Bed Bug Problems: 

When the apartment manager at Spanish Villas, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, evicted a family, he discovered contamination from bed bugs. The manager, Alberto, explained that he sprayed the family's belongings with insect repellant and thought that would take care of the problem. Oh, Alberto, say it isn't so! At the Bedbug Store, we know you must use specific treatments to remove a bed bug infestation. Now, the other residents are furious! When the workers removed the family's furniture, it was placed too close to another apartment unit. This caused an outbreak in that complex, and the tenants were unhappy. Heather Mancera said, "It's like right there by my apartment!"

3. A Student In a South Carolina School Suffers Horrible Reaction to Bed Bug Bites:

In Marlboro County, South Carolina, a 15-year-old high school student had an allergic reaction to bed bug bites she received while in the computer lab. The student complained to the substitute teacher during the class, who sarcastically replied: "That's Marlboro County High School for you." That teacher is glad I'm not the girls' mother. The poor child has been to three different doctors and now needs to see a specialist. That's a lot of pain and trauma that this child did not have to endure.

4. Hotels and Motels See an Increase in Bed Bugs All Over the USA:

As we have stated in prior blogs, traveling can be a nightmare if your hotel has an outbreak of bed bugs. We highly encourage people to take our travel spray and purchase a disposable mattress cover. Unfortunately for Lillian Alamrio and her three friends, they were bombarded with bed bug bites. After checking into a Palm Springs, California, Motel, they could see the bed bugs in their room. Still, since they were in town for Coachella, no other rooms were available after telling the front desk. After being eaten alive the first night, the girls slept in their car for the rest of the trip.
